The County of Los Angeles Executive Director, Community Development Commission
The County of Los Angeles, with more than 10 million residents and 88 cities, is rich in cultural diversity and home to some of the world’s finest arts, entertainment, and recreational attractions.
Using federal funds, the Commission creates financing programs for 47 cities and the unincorporated areas of the County and operates rental assistance programs for low-income persons, including Section 8 subsidies. The Commission has a $430 million budget and approximately 670 employees.
The Executive Director, appointed directly by the Board of Supervisors, has the combined responsibility for the overall administration of the County’s Community Development Commission and the Housing Authority, including various economic development, business revitalization, block grant and loan programs.
The successful candidate will possess a proven track record in leading a complex and diverse organization focused on community development, affordable housing and economic development.
US Citizenship is required for appointment as is a BS/BA in a related field. Extensive experience managing federal, state, and local affordable housing programs is desirable. The salary range is $138,721- $209,966 annually, DOQ.
