Job Purpose Statement:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and/or Registered Nurse (RN) will provide specialized physical health care services for special education students, assist with medically complex student health needs, and provide school level nursing support as required. The LVN is responsible for planning, assessing and administering student health care safely within the LVN Practice Act under the direction of a credentialed school nurse and under physicians’ orders.

- Education/
Experience:
Any combination equivalent to: graduation from an accredited Vocational Nurses Training program and/or a Nursing program and one year related experience. Specialized training in designated procedures required for this position. - Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing
Required:
Possession of a valid registration as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse in the State of California, including requirement for administration of prescribed medication; CPR/First Aid certification. If required to operate a vehicle during the course of employment, must possess a valid California Driver’s License and evidence of insurability; TB test clearance, Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance. Pre‑employment entrance evaluation.
