Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Supervisor, Cardiac Services provides clinical, operational, and personnel leadership across Cardiac
Services, with accountability for patient care delivery, staffing, resource utilization, and departmental
performance. This role exercises independent judgment in daily operations and serves as a key liaison
between staff, providers, and senior leadership.
This role provides direct supervision of nursing staff and oversees other clinical team members within
Cardiac Services as applicable. The Supervisor maintains clinical competency across all service areas, is
expected to cross-train, and provides direct patient care support as needed. This position partners
closely with leadership to ensure consistent operations, staff engagement, and alignment with
organizational goals.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensure/Certification:
· Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
· Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required;
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
· Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Knowledge/
Experience:
· Minimum five (5) years of RN experience required, preferably in cardiac or acute care
· Minimum two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
· Ability and willingness to cross-train across Cardiac Services
Skills:
· Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
· Strong clinical expertise in cardiac care
· Experience with staff supervision, performance evaluations, and employee relations
· Effective communication, conflict resolution, and team-building abilities
· Knowledge of staffing models, workflow optimization, and performance management
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic clinical environment
