Thompsons Auto Group Compensation:
Up to $56 per hour flat rate (depending on location, experience, and certifications)
Summary:
Thompsons Auto Group is seeking an experienced and skilled Service Technician to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and Repair:
Accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in a range of vehicles, performing repairs with precision and efficiency to meet Thompsons’ standards of quality and integrity.
Preventative Maintenance:
Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks, and fluid top-offs, always with a focus on the safety and satisfaction of our customers.
Customer-Focused Service:
Communicate openly and effectively with Service Advisors to provide accurate repair details and cost estimates, demonstrating a servant’s attitude and ensuring the customer’s needs are prioritized.
Team
Collaboration:
Work closely with other technicians and team members, supporting one another and embodying the teamwork value to achieve our common goal of exceptional customer service.
Continuous Learning:
Stay current on manufacturer guidelines, technical service bulletins, and the latest diagnostic tools, reflecting our commitment to continuous improvement.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and adhere to federal, state, and local regulations to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.

Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience as an automotive technician, preferably within a dealership environment.
Certifications:
ASE Certification or manufacturer-specific certifications are highly desirable.
Skills:
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, performing mechanical repairs, and completing electronic and safety inspections.
Attention to Detail:
Ability to work with precision, demonstrating integrity in all work to maintain high standards.
Problem-Solving:
Strong troubleshooting skills with the capability to solve complex technical issues.
Professionalism: A commitment to maintaining a neat and professional appearance and representing Thompsons’ core values in every interaction.
Physical Requirements:
Environment:
Work is primarily in a service bay environment.
Mobility:
Frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Hand Dexterity:
Regular use of hands and arms for tasks involving tools and equipment.
Visual Requirements:
Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and vehicle documents.

Education and Requirements:
Education:

Licensing:
