As a PRN Medical Assistant
, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Plainfield, CT
.

We are seeking a dependable and patient‑focused Medical Assistant for a unique dual‑role opportunity supporting both clinical and front desk operations within an onsite health center. This role works closely alongside a Physician Assistant in a collaborative and supportive healthcare environment.

• Monday–Friday only
• Hours:
  
  7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
• No weekends
• No major holidays
• Opportunity for future growth and expanded hours

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintain patient health records to ensure accurate and up‑to‑date records
• Prepare treatment rooms, clean and sterilize instruments
• Administer medication including injections, perform laboratory tests, operate EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Perform administrative tasks, assist at the front desk, schedule appointments, make follow‑up calls, and order medical supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed—total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $21.20 - $26.50 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
