Experienced Welder - 1st Shift

Plainfield, CT

Shift: 1st Shift – Starting at 6 AM

• Read and interpret blueprints to weld metals with pinpoint precision.
• Operate heavy equipment such as saws to prepare materials safely.
• Set up and maintain machines; perform preventative maintenance.
• Inspect welds for defects to ensure top‑tier quality.
• Apply multiple welding methods and acquire relevant certifications.
• Conduct safety and quality checks to guarantee flawless results.
• Follow and promote safety policies to protect the team.

• Must pass an advanced weld test.
• Proficient in MIG welding of carbon steel, galvanneal, and other metals.
• Minimum of 3 years’ welding experience.
• Solid math, tape measurement, and computer skills.
• Basic hand‑tool experience for welding tasks.
• Accurate understanding and application of measurements.
• Competent blueprint reading for specialized welding.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum age 18 years.

• Previous manufacturing experience.
• Previous welding on truck bodies.

Standing for extended periods, walking, using hands for tools, lifting up to 35 pounds, bending, squatting, reaching overhead, and occasional crawling in tight spaces. Repetitive hand tasks and climbing ladders or working at heights are part of the role.
