Oncology Infusion RN; Per Diem

About This Role

The Oncology Infusion RN (Per Diem) position at Hartford Health Care involves providing holistic, quality nursing care in outpatient Infusion Centers for cancer patients. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are passionate about patient care and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

• Location: Plainfield, CT
• Facility: Hartford Health Care Cancer Institute
• Schedule: Per Diem

• Perform patient assessments and provide symptom management and education.
• Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy, infusions, injections, and transfusions safely.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for continuity of care.
• Schedule patients for infusion visits with provider offices.
• Triage patients using pathways and collaborate with physicians for symptom management.
• Manage a caseload of patients receiving infusion and oral therapies.
• Communicate effectively with various audiences to achieve desired outcomes.
• Engage in continuous professional development and safety behaviors.
• Implement clinical support programs for optimal care.

Education:

• BSN strongly preferred

Experience:

• Two (2) years of previous Oncology Nursing experience strongly preferred

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current Connecticut RN License
• Current OCN Chemotherapy/Biotherapy card (or within first month of hire)
