About This Role
The Oncology Nurse Leader (RN) is a leadership role for a motivated registered nurse, focusing on managing the workflow of the Infusion Center and ensuring safe, quality care for cancer patients. This position is ideal for those seeking to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and drive new initiatives within the Cancer Institute.

- Department/Unit: 91008-Oncology Infusion Plainfield
- Schedule: Full Time, Day shift
- Provide high quality and safe care to a complex group of patients.
- Direct overall patient flow in a safe and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and support services.
- Ensure effective communication between all staff members.
- Assist in implementing and sustaining new initiatives within the Cancer Institute.
- Serve as a clinical resource.
- Collaborate with the manager to monitor and maintain staff performance and patient outcomes.
- Exemplify strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrate clinical expertise while providing evidence-based practice care.
- Ensure the specific needs of the patient population are met.
Education:
- BSN degree required, MSN preferred
- OCN preferred; must obtain Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN) within one year
Experience:
- Three (3) years of Oncology Nursing experience
Licenses &
Certifications:
- Current Connecticut RN License
- BLS certification required
