Senior Accountant (Project Management)

Doctors of Physical Therapy is seeking a Senior Accountant.

Doctors of Physical Therapy was founded in 2005 as a leader providing physical therapy services across the country. An ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant role should be savvy in Excel, have excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask. The Senior Accountant should also possess the ability to review and analyze current processes for potential improvements and meet timeliness in completing assignments with deadlines and due dates and have strong integrity and ethics.

Successful candidate for this position is responsible for accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, general ledger management, fixed asset management, balance sheet preparation and maintenance. Must be a self‑motivated, reliable individual interested in joining our rapidly growing organization.

This is not a remote position. Doctors of Physical Therapy offers Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K plan along with vacation and personal time. The position is Monday‑Friday in our Plainfield, IL corporate offices.

Summary of Essential Job Functions
  • Support monthly and year‑end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Fixed Assets.
  • Responsible for Bank Account Reconciliation.
  • Preparing, reviewing and maintaining ASC 842 Lease accounting.
  • Cash Flow management and analysis.
  • Preparation of monthly stand‑alone and consolidated financial statements.
  • Monthly account analysis to explain actual and budgeted variances.
  • Support yearly budget processing.
  • Responding to information requests and assisting with audits.
  • Analyze and summarize account information and trends.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Department projects and other duties as assigned.
Educational/Other Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills and ability to multi‑task
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Sage Intacct, and Power BI is a plus
