Construction Manager TraineeAs a Construction Manager Trainee, you will support the construction management process by assisting with job scheduling, inspecting sites for safety compliance, completing punch lists and new‑home orientation tasks, maintaining site cleanliness, and addressing service‑related issues. You will participate in construction meetings and training sessions and engage with division personnel, subcontractors, business partners, and homeowners to ensure smooth project execution and successful home deliveries.
This role provides hands‑on learning designed to prepare you for future leadership positions in construction management.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining job schedules.
- Inspect and enforce job safety requirements.
- Complete punch lists and assist with new‑home orientation lists.
- Attend construction meetings and training classes as scheduled.
- Ensure job‑site cleanliness and assist with model/inventory maintenance.
- Assist in addressing service‑related issues.
- Interact daily with division personnel, subcontractors, business partners, and homeowners.
- High school diploma or equivalent (0‑2 years of homebuilding/construction experience optional).
- Construction experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting.
- Effective communication skills.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
- Valid auto insurance coverage.
Regular, in‑person attendance at company communities, job sites, and offices is essential. The role may require more than eight hours per day, working in confined spaces, operating a motor vehicle, reading plans, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, moving or carrying equipment up to 50 lbs, and occasional operation of construction equipment. Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
GeneralOverview of Compensation & Benefits
Base compensation: hourly rate of $18.48 – $31, subject to adjustment based on qualifications, geographic differentials, and operational considerations.
