Elementary Special Education Teacher

As an elementary special education teacher in an instructional classroom, you'll lead a smaller group of students who need more intensive, individualized support to access the curriculum at their pace and level. Requirements:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) LBS1 endorsement required
• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
• Experience working with elementary school students preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Ability to differentiate instruction and modify curriculum based on student needs
• Familiarity with behavior supports, accommodations, and inclusive classroom practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
