OverviewThe Sr. Estimator is responsible for handling estimates with minimal supervision from management. This role reports directly to the Estimating Manager and routinely interacts with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Fabrication to develop fully priced estimates.
Responsibilities- Authorized to have selected access to previous business unit financial and project data, new pricing, and rates to prepare cost estimates.
- Prepare estimates for commercial proposals by working with engineering, production, procurement, subcontracts, human resources, and operations groups.
- Remit and responsibilities measured through Gate Reviews and annual performance reviews.
- Manage projects/processes independently with limited supervision; complex problems encountered.
- College or university diploma in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
- Typically 10 years since first degree and 15+ years of relevant experience.
- 5‑10+ years in an Estimating role.
- Professional degree: BS in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.

Regional office. - May be temporarily assigned to project sites.
- Adheres to company safety guidelines.
- Zero compliance audit findings.
- Train and develop direct reports with maintained succession plan for role.
- Meeting deadlines for estimates.
- Producing accurate estimates.
- Collaborates with others to maintain business competitive advantage in local and international markets.
- Knowledge of CB&I products and markets.
- Proactively identifies and solves complex problems.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Mental agility and ability to multi‑task and manage tight deadlines.
- Proven negotiating ability with high emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated business partnering skills with the ability to influence the organization.

- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
