Position Highlights- Position:
Patient Service Representative (PSR) - Ortho/Podiatry - Location:
Plainfield and Warrenville, IL - Full Time: 40 hours a week

Hours:
Varies Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM. No Holiday Eves, On-Call, or Rotating Weekends. - Required Travel:
To other offices to support Providers. All PSR's in Ortho have primary and secondary locations and are expected to rotate to other Ortho locations as needed for coverage.
TRAVEL IS FREQUENT AND WEEKLY.
- Answers incoming calls, schedules appointments, greets/check out patients, registers new patients in EPIC, schedules laboratory and off‑site diagnostic tests requested by physician, verifies insurance eligibility and interprets covered benefits.
- Processes patient charges by totaling fees, applying insurance coverage, calculating adjustments, and receiving and recording payments in computer system.
- Clinic set‑up, Chart Prep, working the Referral Work-Queue, and other office support tasks.
- Works the needs of the Clinic, which includes being flexible on hours and locations traveling to if asked.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Keyboard and computer skills.
- A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off‑site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
- A minimum of three months previous business office or healthcare based experience.
- Previous insurance, managed care, and integrative medicine experience preferred.
- Medical terminology or coding experience.
- Bilingual Spanish helpful, but not required.
