School House Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) to join one of our outstanding school district partners in Plainfield, Illinois for the 2026–2027 school year.

As a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, you'll collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to develop individualized treatment plans that support student growth and academic achievement.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on evaluation results and IEP goals.
  • Provide direct speech‑language therapy services in individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and families to support student success.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility, goal development, and progress reporting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, therapy notes, Medicaid billing (if applicable), and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
  • Promote functional communication skills that support academic, social, and emotional development.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology.
  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech‑Language Pathologist endorsement or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Illinois Speech‑Language Pathology License (if applicable).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) preferred;
    Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are encouraged to apply if district eligible.
  • Previous school‑based experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
