Registered Nurse - NICU - Nights

Role Overview

Provides professional nursing care in a Level III NICU, utilizing critical thinking to assess, plan, and evaluate patient conditions. Collaborates with team members, delegates tasks appropriately, and ensures family-centered care in a 35-bed single-room unit. Occasional floating to other women and children units is required.

Provides professional nursing care in a Level III NICU, utilizing critical thinking to assess, plan, and evaluate patient conditions. • Associate Degree or higher in Nursing;
  Bachelor’s Degree required within five years if Associate Degree is highest.
• Current Illinois RN licensure and BLS certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six months of employment.
• NICU experience preferred.

• Assess patient status, recognize changes, monitor progress, and document observations.
• Delegate appropriate care tasks to staff and work as part of a cohesive team.
• Adhere to hospital policies and Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act.
