Plainfield, IL | School Social Worker

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Plainfield CCSD 202 is seeking a compassionate and skilled School Social Worker to support students at Plainfield Academy, our alternative school. The primary focus of this role will be facilitating therapeutic referrals and providing social-emotional support to students in need.

• Conduct student assessments and develop support plans
• Coordinate and make therapeutic referrals for students
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to address student needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports
• Support a positive, inclusive school environment for all learners

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
• Experience in a school or alternative education setting preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to supporting diverse student populations

School: Plainfield Academy (Alternative School)

Start Date: Beginning of the  school year

End Date: Through at least early November

Hours: 7:45 AM start time | Full-Time | Onsite Only
