Responsibilities
  • Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
  • Test‑drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to inform customers of any additional service needed and provide an estimate of time required for additional repairs.
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma.
  • At least two years of experience as an auto technician.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Fast learner.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Team player.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to keep customer cars clean and maintain the work area orderly.
  • Ability to identify problems quickly.
  • Good knowledge of automobiles.
  • Effective analytical and communication skills.
  • Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
  • Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
