Executive Director of Supply Chain Procurement
OverviewIndiana University Health is seeking an Executive Director of Supply Chain Procurement who embodies our values of excellence, compassion, teamwork, and purpose. This role provides enterprise leadership for the strategy, governance, and execution of supply‑chain purchasing for the entire health system.
ResponsibilitiesThe Executive Director will evolve standardized procurement processes, policies, and service levels to ensure consistency, scalability, compliance, and operational excellence. The position involves executive ownership of procurement systems, workflows, and data governance, overseeing ERP/MMIS optimization, technology enablement, and data integrity. Key duties include:
- Leading procurement performance management through KPIs, dashboards, SLAs, and reporting to improve transparency and support executive decision‑making.
- Partnering with sourcing, contracting, finance, and operational leaders to enhance contract compliance, improve spend visibility, and align procurement with enterprise priorities.
- Overseeing purchasing for goods, services, and capital; resolving supplier, system, and fulfillment issues; and acting as the final escalation point.
- Driving continuous improvement, ensuring purchase‑order compliance, and building a high‑performing procurement organization through talent development and succession planning.
Reports to:
Senior Vice President - System Supply Chain
- Bachelor's Degree required;
Master’s Degree preferred. - 10+ years of relevant experience.
- 10+ years of people‑leader experience.
