Mid-Level CFD Engineer

A Mid‑Level CFD Engineer job in Plainfield, IN is currently available s is a full‑time direct position with benefits. Candidates must have 3+ years of experience using CFD software and be able to work 40 hours per week onsite. Paid overtime may be required by the customer as necessary.

• Provide training and leadership for less experienced analysts
• Create and analyze a FEM using CFD/heat‑transfer software tools
• Post‑process results to evaluate the capability of the component or system being analyzed
• Create analysis review presentations using MS PowerPoint and present results at review meetings
• Perform combustion aero‑thermal design
• Write technical reports to document methods and results
• Collaborate with a team of engineers to determine the best course of action
• Support testing of equipment if necessary

• Analysis and/or design experience
• Experience setting up and running reacting‑flow CFD with conjugate heat transfer
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
• Ability to work in a group setting and with many types of people
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction from customer contacts
• Leadership abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Relocation to Plainfield/Indianapolis

• Experience with ANSYS (Workbench or APDL)
• Experience with NX
• Jet engine experience is highly preferred

• Competitive salary range of $100,000 to $105,000
