Patient Safety Manager

As a Patient Safety Manager in our Central Fill Pharmacy, you will lead the facility's patient safety program-overseeing investigations of safety events, driving cross-functional process improvements, and strengthening a proactive culture of safety across operations. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to develop and enhance patient safety programs, providing actionable feedback, and ensuring compliance with company standards. The manager leads and mentors associates, fosters continuous learning, and drives accountability to achieve operational excellence.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and develop a team of Patient Safety Specialists, setting priorities, coaching investigation quality, and ensuring consistent execution across the facility
  • Partner with facility leadership and cross-functional stakeholders (operations, quality, pharmacy, engineering) to identify, prioritize, and mitigate patient safety risks
  • Oversee investigations into reported patient safety events; ensure timely documentation, escalation as needed, and closure of corrective/preventive actions
  • Facilitate root cause analyses and translate findings into sustainable process improvements, verifying effectiveness over time
  • Review patient safety data routinely, develop trend analyses/dashboards, and provide clear insights to leadership to drive proactive risk reduction

What you'll bring:

  • Ability to influence across levels-aligning operations, quality, and pharmacy stakeholders to implement durable change
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, develop, and motivate teams to achieve performance goals.
  • Advanced capability in data analysis and reporting (Excel/Microsoft Office), including building dashboards/trending to identify emerging risk
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present findings clearly.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with company policies and uphold high ethical standards.
  • Skilled in using data analysis tools, including advanced Excel functions, to support decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Education, Engineering, or related field and 2 years' experience in training, quality, product development, or related area OR 4 years' experience in training, quality, product development, or related area.
