Position Summary
Plainfield, IN 9590 Allpoints Parkway, Plainfield, IN
Key Responsibilities- Communicate with individuals or groups, both verbally and in writing, including customers, suppliers, and associates.
- Drive, develop, and implement the business plan for the area of responsibility to achieve facility goals (eg production, quality, safety) and implement operational improvements.
- Forecast and follow up on staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands.
- Manage assigned financial aspects by monitoring and tracking expenses compared to budget, monitoring asset utilization, and preparing, reviewing, or analyzing business reports.
- Monitor and ensure facility‑wide compliance with logistics, company quality, and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives by developing, distributing, or maintaining procedures and supporting documentation.
- Investigate and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using own judgment or consulting others when needed.
- Serve as a community liaison by participating in local and community organizations and charitable activities, championing company‑sponsored programs and events for associates, customers, and the local community.
- Supervise and manage associates and leaders in the area of responsibility by giving direction, communicating goals, monitoring performance, providing feedback, identifying training and development needs, and providing opportunities for learning and growth. Teach and support logistics and company policies and procedures, and participate in the hiring, promotion, coaching, and evaluation of associates facility‑wide.

- Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management).
- Either:
- 2 years of experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, developing managers/supervisors, managing workload, and participating in hiring and promotion of employees facility‑wide.
- 2 years of experience as a Walmart Logistics Operations Manager including supervising, evaluating, mentoring, developing associates, managing associate workload, and participating in hiring and promotion of associates.
- 4 years of experience in a senior management role in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, developing managers/supervisors, managing workload, and participating in hiring and promotion of employees facility‑wide.
- All candidates must attend and successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments.
- Compliance, Financial Modeling and Analysis expertise.
- Managing challenging workforce issues.
- Modeling/Forecasting skills.
- Preparing and executing budgets, P&L accountability.
- Supervising associates as a Walmart Logistics Manager or in Walmart Logistics Systems.
- University degrees:
Business, Finance, Logistics, Management, Operations Management.
