Area Manager - Floor

What you'll do

• Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and in writing, e.g., customers, suppliers and associates.
• Implement the business plan for the area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility goals such as production, quality and safety.
• Monitor and manage productivity by preparing, reviewing and analyzing business reports.
• Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on logistics and company policies, standards and procedures; monitoring compliance; distributing and maintaining procedures and supporting documentation.
• Identify associate, customer and/or supplier concerns by listening and consulting with others; determine corrective action or make recommendations to resolve issues.
• Supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance; providing feedback, teaching, supporting and modeling logistics and company policies; identifying training and development needs; participating in hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching and evaluation.

• Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field; OR 1 year of Walmart Logistics Management experience; OR 2 years of Walmart Logistics experience; OR 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
