Job Summary /Objective of Job
As part of the Inspection Team, you will primarily be responsible for identifying quality defects and/or concerns as well as recognition and identification of a variety of heavy-duty differentials or transmission and their components.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Proper recognition and identification of all differential/transmission parts
- Proper recognition, identification, and usage of tools needed to inspect differentials/transmissions and their components.
- Proper recognition of defects in gears.
- Disposal of defective gears into the proper bins.
- Operation of Magnaflux Machine (if applicable).
- Ability to manage andmaintaindaily production goals.
- Identifyquality concerns and address them with the Team Lead or facilitator.
- Communicating with members of the production team.
- Maintaining 5S and general housekeeping in the work areas.
- Operating in a safe manner at all times.
- Managinga dailypreventative maintenance on all machinery and documenting accordingly.
- Perform any other tasks which may be assigned by the Supervisor or Team Lead.
- Knowledge of basic shop procedures and ability to properly useshop tools.
- Abilitytocommunicate with others.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English.
- Ability to disassemble and assemble various components under supervision.
- Ability toproperlyuseequipment, materials, and supplies.
- Quality inspection experienceispreferred but not required.

- Standing and Sitting:
Alternating between standing and sitting for extended periods while working on production schedules and coordinating with the manufacturing floor. - Lifting and Carrying:
Occasionally lifting and carrying items up to75pounds up to 8 hoursper day. - Reaching and Handling:
Using hands and arms to reach, handle, and manipulate objects, tools, or controls. - Mobility:
Moving around the production area, which may involve bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. - Visual and Auditory Requirements:
Good vision (near, distant, color, peripheral, depth perception) and hearing abilities tomonitorproduction processes and communicate effectively. - Identifyingparts, reading instructions, entering data, and completing appropriate forms.
