Location:

1451 All Points Ct, Plainfield, IN 46168

Shift: Monday - Friday 4:00pm - 12:30am EST

Pay Range: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00

Role

Directs daily business activity and provides leadership for assigned personnel. You will communicate with Resource Freight Planning, Inventory Management, Quality, Sales and branch management to resolve production issues, and you are accountable for ensuring performance against customer SLA’s and operating plan metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve performance standards with regards to safety, line utilization and quality.
  • Exceed customer SLA’s while minimizing labor costs.
  • Track key performance indicators/costs, anticipate and correct trends that could compromise financial targets.
  • Oversee and assure facility equipment reliability to minimize downtime.
  • Supervise up to 20 full‑time/temporary associates.
  • Set up and operate equipment according to Production Work Order Requirements, On‑the‑Job Training (OJT) and/or operation procedures.
  • Train and coach employees on department work instructions, processes, procedures and policies.
  • Coach and mentor team leads on leadership skills such as communication, results, accountability, etc.
  • Manage personnel, material, and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Meet production cost, schedules, and quality requirements through the utilization of established manufacturing processes and methods.
  • Monitor and report weekly production metrics on productivity and quality.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to ensure performance targets are met consistently.
  • Interface with planning and quality management when defects or non‑conforming products are found.
  • Determine best methods to handle deviations from standardized processes.
  • Maintain all defined 6S standards.
  • Account for all ISO policies and procedures in assigned areas; make recommendations for change.
  • Communicate daily with Sales, Purchasing and Operational personnel to provide relevant information for meeting customer requirements.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff for continual improvement of key functions and activities to improve efficiency and meet growing customer and business demands.
  • Ensure labor is balanced across the department to meet daily business needs, minimize overtime and reduce labor costs.
  • Maintain a professional, helpful attitude in dealings with co‑workers, supervisors and departmental personnel.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as validating Kronos punches, executing Corrective Action Responses, implementing corrective changes, and completing quarterly/annual employee performance appraisals within HR timelines.
