Job Description

Penske is hiring a CDL Class A Truck Driver in Plainfield, IN. The role involves delivering snack products to stores locally, operating late-model Penske trucks equipped with safety cameras, and maintaining high customer service standards.

• Average salary: $97,708 annually
• Work week: 5 days (Sunday through Thursday)
• Driver referral bonus program: up to $5,000 per referral
• Layovers: 1 to 2 per week

• Drive late-model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks – best-in-class specs with inward and outward-facing in‑cab cameras.
• Deliver snack products to stores locally.
• Unload using a manual pallet jack.
• Average 8‑10 stops per week.
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers.

• 5‑day work week:
  Sunday through Thursday.
• Time off:
  Friday from 8 AM to Sunday 8 PM.
• 1 to 2 layovers required per week.
• 8 PM dispatch.

• Valid Class A CDL required; applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence.
• Must hold or be able to obtain a non‑excepted interstate DOT medical card.
• 1 year of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years.
• 3‑year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents.
• Follow all federal, state, and agency regulations, laws, and guidelines.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• English language proficiency required to comply with federal law.
• Must complete Penske employment application, background investigation, and drug screening.
• Position is regulated by the Department of Transportation; requires constant alertness and safety vigilance.

• Must be able to see and hear; requires close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting; use of hands to touch, handle, and feel; reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lb (23 kg); occasionally lift up to 100 lb (45 kg).
• Legally operate a motor vehicle and enter/exit vehicle and rear cargo area safely.
