We're on the lookout for a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Driver to join our client's warehouse team in Plainfield, IN. This role plays a crucial part in the smooth operation of the warehouse by handling raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products using various types of forklifts. If you have solid forklift experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this opportunity is made for you!

Operate forklifts equipped with attachments such as clamps, elevating platforms, and trailer hitches to move materials safely and efficiently.

Load and unload materials from semi-trailer trucks, ensuring all items are handled securely.

Maintain accurate inventory records and immediately report any inconsistencies to management.

Transport materials on pallets, skids, or other lifting devices within the warehouse or storage yard.

Conduct routine safety inspections on forklifts and lifting equipment to guarantee peak performance.

Perform basic maintenance tasks including lubricating forklifts, recharging batteries, and refilling fuel or gas tanks.

Assist in managing inventory control processes using materials management systems.

Organize and allocate storage space strategically to optimize workflow and warehouse efficiency.

Proven experience operating forklifts and clamp trucks safely and confidently.

Skilled at maneuvering forklifts in tight spaces like narrow aisles, ramps, and truck beds.

Strong spatial awareness for judging load height, width, and weight with precision.

Familiar with storage layouts and efficient material placement techniques.

Ability to safely handle loads to maintain balance and stability during transportation.

Physical stamina to occasionally lift 20-50 pounds and frequently lift 10-25 pounds, with regular movement of lighter objects.
