Organization Overview:
This opening is in the Distribution Warehouse, which is responsible for order processing functions such as picking, packing, and shipping pharmaceutical orders to sales reps, wholesalers, and retailers. Distribution Technicians typically rotate through a variety of roles related to performing these functions.
Location:
Plainfield Distribution Center - Plainfield, Indiana, reports to the Supervisor of Distribution Operations.
- Pick and pack customer orders. Interact with the warehouse management system via a handheld RF device. Material is picked by using an RF device to scan product license plates. Packing requirements must be followed precisely. When pick/pack function is complete, the order is weight checked to verify accuracy. Orders are consolidated by license plate to ship units. Packing list and ship label are printed and included with shipment.
- Responsible for complying with FDA and OSHA requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring that all training identified in the individual training plan (ITP) is current and complete.
- Constantly look for improvements in productivity, compliance, and data accuracy.
- Must have a high school degree or equivalent
- 1-3 yrs. warehouse experience is required
- Experience working with an electronic warehouse management system (e.g., SAP, Exacta, Worldlink) and RF scanners
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail
- Flexible and willing to cross-train to perform multiple assignments
- Willing to work overtime with little notice
- Reliable with a good work attendance history
- Demonstrated computer skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrated a high productivity rate in previous assignments
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to count large numbers of items accurately
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
- Experience operating pallet jacks and powered industrial trucks
- Willing to work a portion of the workday in a chilled environment (36-46F)
- Standing, lifting up to 40 lbs, and bending
- Work Shift:
5 days a week, 8-hour days M-F - Personal Considerations:

Actual compensation will depend on education, experience, skills, and location. The anticipated wage for this position is $17.30 - $38.08. Full-time employees are eligible for a company bonus and a comprehensive benefits program.
