Warehouse Specialist

Title:
Warehouse/Distribution Operator (5-7)

Duration: 12 months Contract

Location:
Indianapolis, IN 46168

Pay rate: $28.97/hr.

Shift: 6:30 AM to 3:15 PM (M-F)

Support the order processing function (i.e., picking, packing, shipping, etc.). Receive and put away manufactured products or raw materials, including unloading trucks, verifying quantities received, and entering receipts into a warehouse management system (WMS). Pick and pack customer orders utilizing the warehouse computerized management system while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

• Support order processing functions including picking, packing, and shipping
• Receive and put away manufactured products and raw materials
• Unload trucks, verify quantities received, and enter receipts into WMS
• Pick and pack customer orders using the warehouse management system
• Perform other warehouse functions such as cycle counting and processing material for destruction
• Follow all applicable laws and regulations (OSHA, FDA, DEA, etc.)
• Perform daily general cleaning of work area
• Maintain punctuality and availability for scheduled shifts

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 5–7 years of experience within a distribution warehouse environment
• Experience working with electronic warehouse management systems (EWM) such as SAP, Exacta, and RF scanners
• 3–5 years' experience operating Powered Industrial Trucks (swing reach truck, stand-up, cherry picker, rider pallet jack, sit-down forklift); role requires use of two or more types
• Demonstrated accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Flexibility and willingness to cross-train on multiple assignments
• Willingness to work overtime with little to no notice
• Reliable with strong attendance history
• Basic computer skills with ability to learn additional systems
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Willingness to work in a chilled environment (36–46°F)
• Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs
