Material Handler/Operator - Plainfield, IN

Pay Rate: $16.50

YOUR ROLE
Are you known for your equipment operation skills and passionate about warehouse logistics and organization? If so, you will execute essential operational processes and contribute to a safe and efficient warehouse operation.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, collaborating and communicating timely with coworkers.
  • Execute various manual labor functions such as picking inventory, counting cargo, hand staging and loading goods using manual equipment.
  • Coordinate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products within the assigned area.
  • Prepare and assemble orders, move materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
  • Manage sorting and placement of materials on racks, shelves, pallets or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
  • Operate a forklift once certified and required.
  • Complete or verify appropriate forms and labels to ensure inventory accuracy and track materials.
  • Operate hand tools to close or open bales, build or tear down crates and other containers.
  • Assist with identifying operational or service concerns, notify coworkers, and aid in resolution.
  • Monitor warehouse maintenance tasks including sweeping floors, cleaning docks, staging, packing, and basic preventative maintenance.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Forklift Certification preferred; valid state‑issued driver’s license preferred.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools and perform manual tasks.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Team‑player who responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
  • Ability to read and complete basic checklists, forms, or related documents.
