Warehouse & Distribution Team Lead - 2nd Shift

Position Summary

2nd Shift Team Lead – Plainfield Distribution Center, Siemens Healthineers.

Responsible for supporting daily operations, training, coaching and directing team members to meet productivity, quality, and safety goals.

2nd Shift: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM, Monday–Friday. 10% shift differential.

• Train new hires in all aspects of the Support department (Case Picking, Pallet Picking, SAS Picking, Replenishments, Auto Store input and Receiving).
• Direct resources in the distribution center based on production needs, established rates and daily resources.
• Address productivity concerns with operators in real time and elevate issues to Supervisor as needed.
• Complete powered industrial truck certifications.
• Act as substitute Supervisor when absent – collect data, populate and present daily visual management board.
• Operate powered industrial equipment (Stand Up Reach Truck, Dock Stocker, Walkie Rider, Order Picker).
• Use computer/SAP to troubleshoot issues (zero picks, consolidations, incorrect product, etc.).
• Use portable RF scanner to complete system tasks.
• Move product in an automated storage and retrieval system using computer.
• Assist other departments (Picking and Shipping) when needed.
• Maintain appropriate productivity, quality and attendance.

• Can work in a refrigerated environment (35–46 °F) for up to 10 hours when needed.

• Possesses basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Has strong attention to detail, including identifying product numbers, lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Receives, understands and accurately responds to direction from supervisors and managers.
• Comfortable operating RF devices, voice‑pick equipment, handheld scanners and powered industrial equipment.

• Can lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Basic computer skills – MS Office Suite, SAP, Outlook.
• Strong communication skills.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Previous Team Lead experience in a distribution center with stand‑up powered industrial trucks.

Base pay range: $49,810 – $68,486. Starting pay may vary based on geography, skills, education, experience and other qualifications.
