Position Summary
Lead Warehouse Associate responsible for training, coaching, and overseeing warehouse team. Safe and efficient loading/unloading of freight, maintaining material flow, implementing process enhancements, resolving issues, achieving efficiency improvements. Must be dependable, detail‑oriented, safety‑minded, thrive in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Shift: Friday–Sunday: 6:00 am–6:00 pm
Duties and Responsibilities- Support supervisory team in adhering to SOPs and ensure implementation.
- Assist team in utilizing Warehouse Management System (WMS), including training and troubleshooting to maintain efficient organization.
- Receive goods from customers and suppliers by offloading/loading vehicles, checking paperwork, weighing, measuring, and reporting discrepancies or damages.
- Operate stand‑up and sit‑down forklifts, and hand jacks for palletization, stretch wrapping, and banding of cargo.
- Load and unload trailers/Ocean containers professionally and damage‑free.
- Prepare outbound loads by matching paperwork, labeling, and handling Unit Load Device (ULD) preparation.
- Sign off Bills of Lading accurately, verifying counts and damages.
- Stage cargo within warehouse safely and orderly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization standards through general housekeeping.
- Ensure quality standards per SOP or customer requirements, including reworking or recouping freight.
- Contribute to development of new SOPs related to new business, products, or process changes.
- Cross‑functional duties: receiving, loading, picking, shipping, etc.
- Complete weekly bond checks.
- Execute Dock‑to‑Stock procedures and regulations at all times, maintaining building perimeter security and challenging any untoward activity.
- Handle bonded import freight into External Temporary Storage (ERTS) facility per regulations and break down inbound ULDs as required.
- Required
- At least 18 years old.
- Minimum 2 years of previous warehouse operations experience.
- Good physical stamina and coordination; may need to stand/walk for long periods, bend, twist, reach, periodically lift up to 50 lbs.
- Certified forklift operator.
- Must complete pre‑employment drug screen as part of conditional job offer.
- Ability to work flexible hours and days.
- Preferred
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with Bills of Lading, Shipping Manifests, Delivery Orders, etc.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to speak Spanish.
