Material Handler/Operator II - Plainfield, IN

YOUR ROLE
Use your equipment operation skills to support a clean and efficient warehouse environment and contribute to delivering results safely and efficiently.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers by collaborating, communicating promptly, and assisting with operations as needed.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as picking inventory, counting cargo, staging and loading goods; use hand trucks, pallet jacks, hand tools, and packaging equipment.
- Coordinate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products; prepare and assemble orders; move items between receiving, production, and storage areas.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, pallets, or bins according to predetermined sequences (size, type, style, color, product code, etc.).
- Assist in training new hires or transfers and provide basic work instructions.
- Operate a forklift when required; must be fully trained and operational while avoiding the most complex or heavy transports.
- Complete or verify forms, documents, labels, and other information to ensure inventory accuracy; monitor and track materials and successful receipt/delivery of goods.
- Identify potential operational or service concerns, notify relevant coworkers, and assist in resolution; monitor warehouse maintenance tasks such as sweeping floors, cleaning docks, and basic preventive maintenance.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED; less than one year related experience.
- Skills: Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, correct vision, basic arithmetic (addition/subtraction).
- Characteristics: Strong communication and teamwork with diverse backgrounds; ability to read, comprehend, and complete checklists, forms, or related documents; problem‑solving with timely resolution.
