Job Description

Balkamp, a leading distributor of automotive aftermarket products in the NAPA Auto Parts system, is seeking a Stock handler. The primary function of this position is to expedite the incoming and outgoing freight including: receiving, stocking, pulling, staging, loading, and shipping freight.

Responsibilities
  • Pulling stock orders, putting away merchandise, and maintaining general housekeeping within the facility.
  • Following and adhering to all safety rules and procedures.
  • Performing daily inspections of equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and radio frequency scanners.
  • Operating warehouse machinery safely to maintain stock and ensure a safe work environment.
  • Transporting merchandise throughout the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
  • Verifying and completing required documentation and reports.
  • Complying with hazardous material regulations and procedures.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Following all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with good organizational skills, capable of understanding and recognizing part numbers quickly and accurately. Basic communication skills and good math skills are required. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to:

  • Lift/carry freight up to 80 pounds regularly.
  • Push/pull products using mechanical aids.
  • Obtain certification for warehouse equipment (training provided).
  • Work on your feet for the duration of your shift.
  • Perform physical activities such as bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, and moving quickly.
  • Use warehouse-related computer and barcode equipment.
  • Follow instructions and complete training.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Meet or exceed production standards.
