Mygrant Glass is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to support the accuracy and health of branch inventory. This role is essential to maintaining strong service levels by ensuring inventory integrity, identifying discrepancies, and driving continuous improvement across warehouse operations. You’ll work closely with leadership and team members to support operational success through accurate data, proactive problem-solving, and strong communication.

Inventory Control Specialist
Nonexempt
Reports to: Branch Manager
Position Summary: The inventory control specialist is responsible for the overall health of the branch’s inventory and is an essential role to maintaining outstanding service levels. By completing cycle counts, physical inventories, and controlling inventory accuracy, you will help identify branch initiatives and aid in maintaining key performance indicators. This position works alongside Mygrant leadership to investigate inventory discrepancies and promote the importance of maintaining a robust, healthy inventory.
- Plan and document the daily cycle count schedule for the calendar year, including year-end auditing.
- Conduct daily cycle counts to research and correct variances using modern warehouse software.
- Research the “life cycle of a part” to verify all internal processes and procedures are followed.
- Count, research, and correct variances to accurately reflect current inventory levels.
- Investigate breakage and product loss trends to determine root cause and proactive solutions.
- Communicate with affected managers and front-line personnel regarding discrepancies that may affect service levels.
- Coach and promote best practices to achieve perpetual accurate inventory and to protect company assets.
- Manage bin locations with proper product quantities.
- Document and manage claims including defectives and breakage to our suppliers.
- Document and report customer breakage, including escalated customer service issues.
- Communicate with customers as needed to resolve customer concerns and issue customer credit as needed.
- Aid in the planning, receiving and stocking of inventory as directed by leadership.
- Verify incoming shipments against BOL & packing slips
- Effectively monitor inbound and outbound transfer queues to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Determine appropriate min/ max levels to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Evaluate, write and cancel product transfers as needed to maximize transfer efficiency.
Requirements:
- Unquestionable integrity and personal ethics.
- Excellent organization skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong PC skills:
Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word. - Ability to communicate with impact and clarity to a wide range of audiences.

- Ability to prioritize assignments and manage interruptions to meet deadlines in a fast paced and growth oriented environment.
- Ability to operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, and OR other equipment safely and in accordance with organizational procedures.
