3PL Receiving Supervisor

Location: Plainfield, IN
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Salary: $55,000-$62,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced 3PL Receiving Supervisor to lead our receiving operations and ensure client inventory is unloaded, inspected, processed, and put away accurately and efficiently.

This position will oversee daily inbound operations in a fast-paced, multi-client third-party logistics environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple priorities, meeting strict service-level requirements, and adapting to changing client needs and inbound volumes.

Team Leadership & Performance

• Direct and schedule daily activities for receiving clerks, material handlers, and forklift operators.
• Manage labor allocation based on inbound volumes and client account demands.
• Train full-time and temporary employees on SOPs and safety requirements.
• Monitor team performance and ensure daily operational goals are met.

Inbound Logistics Management

• Coordinate dock schedules with freight carriers and internal teams to maintain an efficient flow of inbound freight.
• Ensure inbound inventory is processed and put away within the required 24-hour timeframe.
• Audit receiving documentation, including ASNs, BOLs, customs documents, and packing slips.
• Identify and document overages, shortages, and damages, including photographic documentation when needed.
• Oversee accurate data entry within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Verify product information, serial numbers, batch tracking, weights, and dimensions.

Safety & Facility Standards

• Enforce OSHA guidelines and safety procedures related to material handling equipment (MHE).
• Conduct safety audits of dock equipment and report maintenance concerns promptly.
• Maintain 5S standards throughout inbound docks, staging areas, and trailer parking lanes.

• 3+ years of experience in high-volume warehouse inbound operations.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience leading warehouse operations, preferably in a multi-client 3PL environment.
• Active forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• Experience operating or working around equipment such as sit-down forklifts, stand-up reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, and order pickers.
• Proficiency with WMS platforms and strong computer skills, including inventory databases and email systems.
• Experience using RF scanners and troubleshooting barcode labeling issues.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

A hands-on leader who can effectively manage a receiving team, maintain accurate inventory records, prioritize inbound freight, and ensure safety and service standards are consistently followed in a fast-paced 3PL environment.
