Inventory Control Manager

Full Time Plainfield, IN, US

Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $80,000.00 Annually

Objectives of the Position

Reporting to the Director, Operations NA, the Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of inventory control within the warehouse facilities in Canada. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, optimizing stock movement, and ensuring efficient inventory management processes. The Inventory Control Manager collaborates with various departments, such as Operations, Procurement, Engineering and Finance, to achieve organizational goals related to inventory management and cost control.

Accountabilities
  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate recording of stock levels, stock movement, and inventory valuation.
  • Conduct regular physical counts and reconciliations to verify inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly. This to ensure we’re meeting or exceeding our contractual obligation towards our customers
  • Utilize inventory management software and tools to generate comprehensive reports on inventory metrics, such as turnover, stockouts, and slow-moving items.
  • Analyse data trends and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Prepare daily inventory reports for management and customers highlighting accuracy rates, root causes for errors, key insights, and recommending actionable strategies.
  • Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in inventory control processes and propose and implement solutions to enhance overall efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline inventory management procedures and improve coordination between departments.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory control processes and train warehouse staff to adhere to them.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal company policies concerning inventory control, safety, and quality standards.
  • Oversee the handling of hazardous materials and maintain proper documentation for regulatory purposes.[Mv2.1]
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard inventory against theft, damage, or loss.
  • Work with security personnel and implement surveillance systems to monitor inventory movements.
  • Prepare for and conduct several, annual four wall audits.
