Overview

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is hiring full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at a service center in the North Plainfield, NJ area. With over 2,000 locations, Mavis is a large tire sales and automotive repair chain in the United States.

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of undercar repairs (brakes, struts, shocks).
• Complete state-mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts.
• Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Extensive personal toolbox of tools used for undercar repairs.

• State inspection licenses.
• ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Active position requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, pulling, reaching, and repetitive movements; regularly lifting and/or moving items weighing over 50 pounds.
