College Achieve Central Charter School / Plainfield, NJ is recruiting a Grade 6 science teacher. Candidates with a K-6, middle school science endorsement, and/or science‑specific certification are welcome to apply. Position Type:
Middle School Teaching/Science

• Deliver engaging and standards‑based instruction
• Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect student needs and curriculum goals
• Establish a classroom culture that promotes learning, respect, and high expectations
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities
• Assess and track student performance; provide feedback and intervention as needed
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and school leadership
• Participate in professional development sessions and school‑wide initiatives
• Support school events, field trips, and community‑building activities
• Complete administrative responsibilities including attendance, grading, and lesson planning
• Adhere to all school, district, and network policies and procedures

• Valid New Jersey CE, CEAS, or Standard teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
• Must pass a criminal history background check
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field

• Competitive salary range: $65,000–$80,000, commensurate with experience
