We're currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Certified Bilingual Kindergarten Teacher (English/Spanish) to join a growing K–8 public charter school in Plainfield, NJ. • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in both English and Spanish for Kindergarten and early elementary students.
• Create a warm, inclusive classroom that encourages curiosity, confidence, and cultural pride.
• Support literacy, numeracy, and early childhood development through dual-language instruction.
• Implement assessments to monitor student growth and adjust instruction as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, ESL specialists, and support staff to meet academic and developmental goals.
• Communicate regularly with families in both languages to foster engagement and student success.
• Incorporate culturally responsive teaching practices and bilingual literacy development.
• Participate in school community events, professional development, and curriculum planning sessions.

Required:

• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate – Elementary Education (K–6)
• Bilingual/Bicultural Endorsement (required)
• Fluency in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Education or related area
• Prior experience teaching in bilingual or early childhood classrooms
• Strong understanding of early literacy, child development, and culturally responsive instruction
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and collaboration skills
