Special Education Teacher

Overview

Special Education Teacher contract position offering up to $52 per hour for a 36-week assignment in Plainfield, New Jersey. The role focuses on delivering specialized instruction to students with disabilities in elementary and middle school settings. Candidates will develop IEPs, collaborate with educators and families, and maintain compliance documentation.

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in elementary/middle school

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in accordance with district and state standards

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure students  educational success

• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly

• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of student development and compliance records

• NJ K-8 population DOE Instructional Certificate for Students with Disabilities

• Minimum 1 year experience teaching elementary or middle school populations

• Recent experience with elementary or middle school populations

• Ability to complete on-site interviews between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

• Demo lesson required

• Background check and compliance with state certification standards
