Job Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical tasks such as vital signs collection, EKG testing, phlebotomy, patient intake, and exam room preparation to ensure efficient and high‑quality patient care.
  • Obtain and document vital signs including weight, blood pressure, and blood glucose levels.
  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection.
  • Conduct EKG testing.
  • Document patient complaints and relevant clinical information.
  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure clinical areas are properly stocked.
  • Assist providers and nurses with implementation of patient care plans.
  • Provide patient education as directed by clinical leadership.
  • Maintain infection control protocols and standard precautions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support team collaboration.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
  • Experience performing EKGs and phlebotomy preferred.
  • Experience in primary care, ambulatory care, or outpatient settings preferred.
