Sheeter Operator

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sheeter position is responsible for moving the large rolls of paper stock from the warehouse to the sheeter area and operating the Maxson Sheeter to produce the proper sheet sizes and quantities as required for the specific job orders. The Sheeter will be cross trained to help in other production areas in order to help out when the Sheeter is not scheduled to run.

The Sheeter will need to be certified to safely operate a clamp truck and a forklift. This position may be required to work overtime. He/She must consistently and efficiently perform and follow procedures in compliance to company, customer, and ISO standards.

• Move large rolls of paper stock from the warehouse to the sheeter area by using a clamp truck.
• Operate the Sheeter safely to produce the correct size and quantity of sheets as per customer order.
• Assist with moving pallets of the cut sheets to the appropriate press.
• Utilize the shop floor data system (computerized) to help track productivity.
• Assist in other areas of manufacturing as requested, including running material through the aerator.
• Responsible for training other employees or temporary employees in the safe operation of the Sheeter as requested.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Keep area clean and organized.
• Performs other job duties as assigned by management or lead person.
• Consistently attentive to quality throughout the manufacturing process.
