Registered Nurse - Satellite ED - Nights

The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population, focusing on expanding knowledge and skills while providing effective direct care as part of an interdisciplinary team. This role is ideal for those who are dedicated to improving patient outcomes and coordinating care among various healthcare professionals.

• Location: Plainfield, NJ
• Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation.
• Perform age and disease specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop a plan of care with strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Identify ethical issues in the practice setting and address them with the team.

• Education:
  • Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required.
  • BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire.
• Experience: 6+ months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
