Class B Front Load Truck Driver

Overview

IWS is now hiring CDL B front load truck drivers!

Safety is our first priority!

$31.27 per hour.

Dispatch location:
Plainfield, NJ.

Schedule:

Monday–Saturday, 3am–1:30pm.

Front load garbage truck experience required.

• Minimum 1 year CDL experience required.

• Drivers are responsible for safely operating front, side, or rear‑loading trucks for the pick‑up service of bags or containers filled with waste or recyclable material.
• Drivers transport the material to a disposal, transfer, or recycling facility, and may make one or more trips throughout the shift.
• We deploy both manual and automatic trucks.
• The driver position may require repeatedly lifting up to 50 pounds, moving and maneuvering up to 100 pounds, and mounting and dismounting the truck multiple times each route.

• 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with airbrake endorsement.
• 1‑year CDL driving experience in the last 7 years.
• Great safety record and clean MVR.
• Experience as a driver or helper for a refuse company is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and applicable traffic regulations.
• Able to speak and read English.
• Read and understand a map.
• Meet physical and safety requirements of the position.
• Willing and able to work required hours under DOT regulation, including weekend, night, or holiday work.

• Routes may require navigating through congested communities and confined or tight areas in city locations.
• Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential.
• Drivers routinely climb in and out of the truck cab to serve customer accounts.
• Driver pre‑ and post‑inspections required; drivers must ensure their truck meets IWS’s safety standards, OSHA and DOT regulations, and local traffic laws before and during operation.
• Other duties as assigned.
