Staff Accountant

Our client, a large, national corporation is hiring for an Accountant position. This is position is open due to an internal promotion. You will work on a fast-paced accounting team and handle their corporate accounting at the headquarters of the company. This is a permanent position that will provide someone early in their career with a broad range of accounting experience including;

month end close, financial statement preparation, bank reconciliations, etc. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary in the range of $70,000 to $80,000 plus bonus, 401k match and a strong benefits package.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Month end accounting work; bank reconciliations, journal entries, etc.
• Assisting with the financial statement preparation for the company
• Perform numerous reconciliations, assist in sales tax filings for multiple states
• Serve as a resource for the external audit firm on both tax and general accounting matters

Your qualifications should include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 2 or more years of accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills are necessary for success in this position
• Must be a mature, motivated individual that can take direction and get up to speed quickly
• Prior experience with an ERP system is required
