Our client, a large, national real estate corporation, is looking for an experienced Property Accountant to join their successful company. If you have 1 or more years of accounting experience, public accounting and/or corporate real estate background, we should talk as this is a top Long Island corporation that can offer professional development and future advancement. You will handle month end close, financial reporting and day to day accounting operations for an assigned portfolio of properties.
This is a permanent, full-time position offering a salary of $65,000 to $75,000 (1-2 years experience) plus a bonus and full benefits including a generous 401k match. The schedule is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office per week currently.
Responsibilities will include:
* Day to day and month/quarter end close for an assigned property portfolio
* Responsibility for the General Ledger reconciliations and analysis of any discrepancies and fluctuations
* Report on net operating income for assigned properties
* Ad-hoc reporting as needed
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting
* 1+ years of accounting experience in the real estate industry
* Strong Excel skills required and experience with an ERP system preferred
* Ability to work well as an individual, desire to take the lead as needed
