We are seeking an experienced Closing Coordinator for a temporary assignment in Plainview, NY. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience handling residential real estate transactions, specifically condominiums and cooperatives
, and be comfortable managing multiple files in a fast‑paced environment. Paralegal experience is strongly preferred.
This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, lenders, management companies, agents, and clients.
Job DescriptionSalary: $25 - $40 per hour.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate residential real estate closings from contract to closing
- Prepare and review closing documentation for condos and co‑ops
- Order and track title reports, lien searches, and payoffs
- Communicate with lenders, attorneys, real estate agents, and management companies
- Schedule closings and ensure all required documentation is received prior to closing
- Review board packages for co‑op transactions and track approvals
- Ensure compliance with condominium and cooperative requirements
Maintain accurate transaction files and update internal tracking systems - Assist attorneys with closing preparation and post‑closing follow‑up
- Handle escrow and disbursement coordination as needed
- 2+ years of experience as a Closing Coordinator, Real Estate Paralegal, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of New York residential real estate transactions
- Direct experience handling condo and co‑op closings required
- Paralegal experience preferred
- Familiarity with title processes and closing procedures
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and real estate transaction management systems
- Experience working with real estate attorneys
- Knowledge of co‑op board application and approval process
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently
- Detail‑oriented with a high level of accuracy
$25-40 hourly based on experience.
