The Vice President of Finance serves as GOAT USA’s most senior finance leader, reporting directly to the CEO and playing a critical role in shaping the company’s long‑term financial strategy and operational success. As GOAT USA continues to scale its retail and e‑commerce presence, this role will be instrumental in building the financial infrastructure, processes, and controls needed to support the company’s ambitious growth objectives and expanding operations.
The VP of Finance is responsible for leading all core finance functions, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, and risk management, while providing strategic financial guidance to executive leadership. This position partners cross‑functionally with teams across the business to drive profitability, improve operational efficiency, and support data‑driven decision‑making. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in retail or apparel finance, a strong understanding of scaling consumer businesses, and the ability to build high‑performing teams and scalable financial systems in a fast‑paced, growing environment.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role serves as the company’s most senior finance leader and a strategic partner to executive leadership, driving financial excellence, operational rigor, and data‑driven decision‑making across the organization. As GOAT USA continues to scale its brand and operations, the VP of Finance will play a key role in building the financial infrastructure and processes needed to support the company’s long‑term growth objectives.
The VP of Finance oversees all finance functions, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, reporting, budgeting, and risk management, ensuring the company has the financial visibility, controls, and discipline required to support continued growth. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial processes, reporting, forecasting, compliance, and internal controls, while aligning financial performance with GOAT USA’s strategic business objectives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Lead and manage all core finance functions, including accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), tax, etc.
- Develop and execute financial strategies that support company growth, margin optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with the executive team to provide financial insights, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
- Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, including seasonal planning aligned with product cycles.
- Monitor and analyze key retail metrics such as sales performance, gross margin, inventory turnover, and store productivity.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
- Strengthen financial controls, compliance, and risk management processes.
- Lead cash flow management, working capital optimization, and capital allocation decisions.
- Collaborate with merchandising and operations teams to align inventory planning with financial targets.
- Own and manage the company’s insurance program, including policy selection, broker relationships, and alignment with risk and financial objectives.
- Support pricing strategies, promotional planning, and margin improvement initiatives.
- Manage relationships with external partners including banks, accountants, etc.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing finance team.
- Drive systems improvements and financial process automation to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Evaluate and support strategic initiatives such as new store openings, e‑commerce expansion, and potential acquisitions or partnerships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA strongly preferred; MBA a plus.
