This position will also act as a liaison between the providers, families and district to aid in improved educational outcomes for students.
Educational Requirements
Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family therapy; and New York State licensure.
Experience Required
Two (2) years' experience of post-graduate clinical work in relevant settings including experience with children and families. Familiarity with the school system, supports available both internally and externally of the school district, and knowledge and awareness of community providers for youth and families.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintains current regulatory guidelines for program and monitor program activities against these guidelines;
- Prepares statistical and narrative reports as required;
- Reviews clients' records, applying quality assurance and/or utilization review criteria to determine need for admission and continued stay in program.
- Participate in school meetings related to coordination of mental health needs for students and the school district
- Facilitate sharing of data with the individuals to whom it applies to facilitate partnered decision-making and to keep clients informed of progress
- Complete QI Training during onboarding and participate in QI refresher training as needed.
