Major/Essential Functions

• Professionally clean teeth including prophies and scaling androot planing
• Presents instructions on proper personal oral hygiene
• Captures digital radiographs
• Administers topical fluoride
• Disinfects surfaces and dental equipment
• Sterilizes dental instruments according to OSHA regulations
• Takes thorough inventory of instruments through daily countsand logs
• Serve as Dental Assistant when needed
• Proper record keeping and maintenance both in manual and automated systems
• Ensure dental supplies are on hand and ordered in a timely manner
• Answer sick call requests and schedules patients in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist

Education:

A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.

Completion of an approved dental hygiene training program; licensed to practice dental hygiene by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.
